The Easton Garlic Fest is Proud to announce our Headline Chef:

Executive Head Chef Fred Grant of The Bayou

Chef Fred found his passion for comfort cooking early on.  Growing up with 5 brothers he quickly realized good food brings people together.  His style expertly combines traditional home cooking with unique and unexpected flavors that blend so beautifully together.

Chef Fred studied at The Culinary Institute of America from 2002 until 2004.  It was at CIA he molded his raw talent and love of cooking into art.  Before joining The Bayou Boys Hospitality Group he gained experience with different styles of cooking from time spent with The Hyatt West, Starter’s Bethlehem, Emeril’s Chop House, BAM, and ArtsQuest in Bethlehem.

When the opportunity to join The Bayou Boys in 2015 presented itself, Chef Fred found a place he could craft food that took him back to his roots.  Being a true country boy at heart Chef Fred has developed and perfected unique and modern dishes while still reminding you what it feels like to have Sunday dinner at home with your family.

In his spare time he spends his moments with his wife and two children Sawyer and Clara.  He also has a deep love for the outdoors and hunting.  Chef Fred brings his loves of nature and family together seamlessly in his cooking.  You can actually taste and feel the love when you enjoy some of The Bayou’s homemade Buttermilk Fried Chicken, Shrimp & Grits, or fried oysters (Chef Fred’s personal favorite).

Don’t take our word for it, visit The Bayou in Easton, The Bayou in Bethlehem, Grain in Allentown, or Queen City BBQ in Allentown and see for yourself.  You may even catch Chef Fred smoking up some ribs himself!Bayou logo
